Recipe #26: Great Gramma Flo’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

I don’t have a Great Gramma Flo, but apparently the person who posted this recipe on Tasty Kitchen did. Our school Winter Olympics were held last week and the SCC was supposed to bring cookies for the kids to have after the events, so of course I went searching for a new recipe.

I only got to sample a couple of these cookies before I packed them up to take to school. Let’s just say it was a good thing that they had a specific purpose.

  • 1 cup Butter (salted)
  • 1 cup White Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar, Packed
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 3 whole Eggs
  • 3-¾ cups White Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips

Preparation Instructions

Cream butter and sugars. Stir in vanilla. Add each egg, stirring after each addition. In separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Pour dry mixture into wet, and stir until combined. Add in chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes, or until cookies are just golden brown.

Will I make this again? I’ve never met a chocolate chip cookie that I didn’t like.
